Every stage in Curseball gives you a ball and a timer, and you have to hit the ball before the time is up. Then the curses arrive. There are 14 different curses and worlds, each twisting the rules in its own way, and a pile of color palettes to unlock along the way.
The game's own secret tips are worth knowing. Kicking the ball restores your jump. Hitting the ball without landing builds combo points. Finishing a stage without losing health earns a life bonus, and finishing one really fast earns a time bonus. It is a score attack game at heart, backed by what the developer calls an overuse of the amen break.
