One Line
Save the jolly fellow who seems to always find himself in the most life-threatening situations imaginable by drawing One Line only! Even if you aren’t overly artistic, fear not! While you’ll need a somewhat steady hand, this game puts an emphasis on problem-solving and creative thinking, so doodling is totally acceptable, as long as it serves the purpose!
The poor guy you’re supposed to protect doesn’t really have much going for him, except for his oblivious smile. Assassins will try to shoot, stab, and slash at him, bombs will drop from the skies, and even from the seemingly regular clouds, deadly metal shards will rain down. It’s up to you to draw an impregnable line that repels all lethal threats!Â
How to play One Line
The lines you draw will behave according to (the somewhat simplified) basic laws of physics. Even though the length of a line drawn is finite, you don’t run out of ink quickly, so there’s plenty of room to experiment and think outside the box. You’ll either want to encapsulate the protagonist in a sort of cocoon or stop the potential threats from reaching him by blocking their path.
Depending on the stage design, you want to choose a method that seems easier to execute. Keep in mind that the main character will perish even if the lines you draw touch him. To make the structures you design more solid and less affected by outside forces, consider broadening the very footings at each end of the line.
