Origin
Origin is a 2D platformer where you collect black orbs to unlock the door and escape each level.
It is a platformer of stark silhouettes and precise jumps. It expects you to learn each screen rather than bluster through it, and it is right to.
How to Play Origin?
Collect all the black orbs to activate the door, then reach it to escape. Avoid the spikes, which are where most runs end. In later levels you gain a double jump, performed by pressing W or Up twice, but you only get a limited number of them, shown by the JUMP counter in the top left of the screen.
That limit is what makes Origin interesting. Every double jump is a resource, so you have to plan where to spend them. A restart key sits right in the control scheme, which tells you how the game expects to be played: in quick, repeated attempts until the route is clean.
Tips and Tricks:
- Count your jumps: The JUMP counter tells you how many double jumps you have left.
- Plan the orb route: Collecting orbs in the right order saves jumps.
- Restart freely: R is there for a reason, so use it.
