Tom, a fresh college graduate, decides to take on an ambitious project with his prankster granddad in the extraordinary 2D story-telling puzzle game Merge Hotel. What’s supposed to be a prestigious resort is currently in terrible condition, and with potential investors coming in just a few days, there’s plenty of work to do. The funny granddad has other plans, though, so it’s up to you to help Tom make his ideas come true.

Aside from the highly addictive item-merging gameplay, this awesome game features hilarious character monologues and dialogues that are definitely worth reading. The 2D graphics are absolutely eye-catching, and while you might feel overwhelmed by the huge mess, the hard work put in is visible after each level is completed, enticing you to keep pushing forward.

How to play Merge Hotel

The gameplay is very intuitive, so it’s easy to jump right into solving puzzles without any further introduction. To renovate a section of the hotel, you’ll get orders to acquire tools, cleaning supplies, and many other useful items. Various tools are spawned on the board by clicking on the toolboxes, for example.

The gameplay unfolds on a 2D square board, just like in a classic match-3 game. Merging identical objects creates a higher-tier item of the same category. The tricky part is that the board clutters quickly, so you must regularly pair identical items, not only to complete the orders but also to free up the squares to keep playing.
