Spellie is a daily word puzzle game crafted specifically for young spellers. Each day, players are presented with three puzzles that escalate in difficulty, utilizing vocabulary suitable for grades 1 through 6. This design ensures that children can both enjoy and benefit from the game, enhancing their spelling and vocabulary skills in an engaging manner.

How to play Spellie?

To play Spellie, you are given six attempts to guess the daily word. After each guess, the game provides feedback to guide your next attempt. A letter highlighted in green indicates that it is in the correct position within the word. A yellow highlight signifies that the letter is in the word but not in the correct spot. Letters that remain unhighlighted are not present in the word at all. By analyzing this feedback, you can refine your guesses to deduce the correct word. The game offers three levels of difficulty:

• Easy: Features four-letter words appropriate for Grade 2 vocabulary.
• Medium: Presents five-letter words suitable for Grade 3-4 vocabulary.
• Hard: Challenges players with six-letter words from Grade 5 vocabulary.

This tiered approach allows players to select a level that matches their proficiency and gradually take on more challenging words as their skills improve.

What are the controls for Spellie?

You can make your guess using your keyboard or by clicking / tapping on the characters.
