FNF: The Funkdela Catalogue

The Funkdela Catalogue is a horror mod for Friday Night Funkin' inspired by The Mandela Catalogue, the analog horror series by Alex Kister. It retells Volume 1 and Intruder Alert as rap battles played out on grainy VHS footage, where nobody is quite who they seem. The mod touches on self-harm themes, so it suits older players.

How to Play FNF: The Funkdela Catalogue?

Arrows scroll up in four lanes and you press the matching key as each one reaches the top row. Hit them to push the health bar your way; miss too many and it tips to your opponent and the song ends. Play the week It Followed Me Home from Story Mode, or pick any song from Free Play.

The week opens with Shepherd against Gabriel on a dark hillside in Grace, then Cesar faces Mark between two framed portraits in Think. A young Mark is followed down the stairs by the Intruder in Scary Night, the Snatcher stares out of a television in Distraught, and Mark is visited in his own bedroom by an Alternate in Gift. Thonk closes things out as a colourful joke take on Think.

Two songs add their own twists. In Think, pale eye notes drift down among the arrows: leave them alone, because hitting one costs you health. In Gift, the two sides swap places and eyes open all over the screen; click each one as fast as you can.

What Are the Controls?

Hit the notes with the arrow keys or A, S, W and D, and use the mouse to close the eyes in Gift. Space or Enter confirms in menus, Esc or Backspace steps back, Enter or Esc pauses mid-song, and R is the reset key.
