Popping Candies is a match-3 candy puzzle game. You know how this works. That is exactly why it works.
You swap candies, you make lines of three, and the board rewards you with a small explosion of sugar. Then it asks you to do it again with fewer moves.
How to Play Popping Candies?
Swap two neighboring candies to make a row or column of three or more of the same color, and they pop. Each level gives you a target, such as reaching a score, collecting certain candies or clearing jelly, and a limited number of moves to hit it. Run out of moves and you lose a life. You start with five, and they refill over time.
Bigger matches build special candies. Four in a row makes a Striped Candy, which clears a whole row or column. Five in a T or L shape makes a Wrapped Candy, which explodes and clears the area around it. Five of one color in a line makes a Color Bomb, which clears every candy of whatever color you swap it with. Later levels throw chocolate, jelly and other blockers at you, and boosters can buy extra moves when a level gets stubborn.
Tips and Tricks:
- Build specials on purpose: A planned Color Bomb beats three random matches every time.
- Work from the bottom: Matches low on the board cause more cascades above them.
- Read the objective: A huge score is useless if the level wanted jelly cleared.
