Mahjong 3D is a worthy upgrade of a world-renowned tabletop 2D tile-matching puzzle game. The third dimension provides additional depth to the already interesting gameplay, allowing you to rotate the camera freely and inspect the puzzle presented from different perspectives.

Matching two identical cubes will remove them from the puzzle, and the objective is to clear them all. For a cube to be viable to play with, it must have an open left or right edge, so you can’t just click whichever you want.

There’s a limited time window to complete as many levels as possible, and completing each adds an extra 5 seconds to the timer. This makes the gameplay exciting, fast-paced, and much more interesting compared to the original Mahjong.

How to play Mahjong 3D

Finding matches is much easier in this game than in its original 2D version simply because the third dimension adds plenty of new possibilities. The tricky part is that you’re playing on a timer, so you must think and act quickly.

The hardest part is usually the beginning, when your options are quite limited. Work on opening up as many cubes as possible, and soon enough, you’ll start matching identical cubes left and right.

It’s a good idea to rotate your camera around to inspect the entire puzzle, but don’t spend too much time doing this. Try to find the isometric perspective from which you can see most of the cubes in each level and only switch it up when you’re struggling to figure out the next move.
