Blocky pixel stages, a row of arrows across the top, a score counter along the bottom and original tunes that riff on the classic Mario soundtrack. It runs from a stroll through the Mushroom Kingdom to a showdown with Bowser.

How to Play FNF: Super Mario Bros. Funk Mix DX?

Arrows scroll toward the row at the top and you press the matching key as each one lines up with it. Hit them on the beat to build your score and accuracy. Some songs add a twist: in Boo Blitz you press Left or Right during Big Boo's turn to dodge his fire, Bricks and Lifts sends rolling rocks your way, and power-ups can appear during play.

The main adventure is two worlds of three songs each: Mushroom Plains, Bricks and Lifts and Lethal Lava Lair, then Deep Deep Voyage, Hop-Hop Heights and Koopa Armada, where Bowser is waiting. Six bonus songs have their own section in Free Play: 2-Player Game against Luigi, Destruction Dance, Portal Power, Bullet Time, Boo Blitz and Cross Console Clash. A few secret songs are hidden too, and the game drops hints about finding them.
