Algerian Solitaire
Algerian Solitaire is a tough solitaire variation with eight foundations, played on a desert-themed table.
The developer calls it a game for "the sturdiest and more resilient players". Four foundations start from the aces and four start from the kings, so you are building in two directions at once.
How to Play Algerian Solitaire?
The goal of Algerian Solitaire is to move every card onto the eight foundations at the top of the table. Four of them begin with an ace and build up in the same suit: ace, two, three and so on. The other four begin with a king and build down in the same suit: king, queen, jack.
Below the foundations sit eight tableau piles. Cards can be stacked there in sequence within one suit, for example the ten of clubs on the jack of clubs. Along the bottom of the table are six reserve piles. When you run out of moves, click the stock and it deals one new card onto each reserve pile. A screen with a Tuareg proverb appears before the cards are dealt.
Tips and Tricks:
- Two places for every card: Each suit has an ace pile going up and a king pile going down. Check both before you decide where a card goes.
- Build in suit: Tableau piles take cards of the same suit in sequence. Use them to line cards up before they go to a foundation.
- Deal late: Each click on the stock puts a new card on all six reserve piles. Make every move you can find first.
