Penalty Shooters is a mouse controlled penalty shootout game where you take turns as striker and goalkeeper. It is soccer boiled down to its most stressful moment, the one where a whole match comes down to twelve yards and a nervous goalkeeper, and you get to be both people.
It is the first game in the series that carried on with Penalty Shooters 2 and Penalty Shooters 3.
How to Play Penalty Shooters?
Pick your team and head into the shootout. When you are the striker, hold the mouse button to aim and let go to shoot. Timing is very important, so a shot released in a panic tends to go where panicked shots always go.
Then the roles swap and you are in goal. Click to dive for the ball and keep it out of your net. You alternate like this through the shootout, and whoever scores more penalties wins. Penalty Shooters only needs the mouse, so you can play the whole thing with one hand.
Tips and Tricks:
- Do not rush the release: Timing decides the shot, so let go when the aim is right, not when you get nervous.
- Watch the ball when you are in goal: Dive for where the shot is going, not where you hope it goes.
- Mix up your shots: A striker who aims at the same corner every time becomes easy to read.
