Kingdom Rush Frontiers is a tower defense classic, in its original Flash version with no plugin needed. Kingdom Rush Frontiers is what happens when a tower defense game stops being polite. The first Kingdom Rush was a tidy little kingdom with tidy little goblins. This one drags you into jungles, deserts and tombs, and fills them with things that burrow under your towers, fly over your archers, and in one memorable case eat your soldiers whole.

How to Play Kingdom Rush Frontiers?

Enemies walk a fixed path. You do not. You buy towers on the marked plots beside that path and upgrade them between waves, and the entire game is the argument about which tower goes where.

There are four kinds and they are not interchangeable. Archers handle the lightly armored many. Mages cut through armor that laughs at arrows. Artillery flattens slow clumps. Barracks do not really kill anything at all, they just stand in the road and refuse to move, which turns out to be the most valuable thing on the map.

Tips and Tricks:

• Blockers beat damage: A barracks at a choke point buys your whole line several seconds. That is worth more than a second archer tower almost every time.
• Read the armor: Sending arrows at heavy armor is a way of politely donating gold to the enemy.
• Your hero is a fire extinguisher: Park him where the defense is thinnest, not where the fighting looks best.
• Spend between waves: Gold sitting in your pocket has never once killed anything.
