Tanko.io is an epic 2D 5v5 multiplayer online arena where you’ll fight for supremacy in the battleground against aspiring tank commanders worldwide. The objective of each battle is destroying the enemy base and protecting your own. It’s easy to forget about the win condition, though, because it’s a real slugfest out there.

To excel at this game, you must be good at both driving and shooting, but the strategic component of the gameplay is not to be neglected. Pick up various buffs randomly spawning on the map, score easy kills by picking off careless enemies, and work as a team to secure victory!

How to play Tanko.io

In this awesome 2D shooter, it’s essential to get off to a good start. Each kill increases your tank’s size, shooting range, and health points, so if you fall behind at the beginning, it’s really hard to stay competitive as the game progresses. Similarly, you can snowball the game easily if you’re the first to score a couple of killing blows.

It’s very important to be aware of your shooting range at all times, especially in the beginning when it’s an even ball game for everyone. Remain disciplined, wait for your opponents to overextend, and punish them for it. Anticipating the actions of your enemies is key to victory.

Always keep an eye on the mini-map, as moving together with your teammates will greatly increase your chances of scoring kills, therefore gaining more ground. Tactical retreat is often a great way to prepare for the counterattack and lure your enemies into a disadvantageous position.
