Monarchies.io
Most strategy games hand you an army. Monarchies of Wax and Honey hands you a hive. You run a bee colony, and everything from foraging routes to comb construction is your problem.
How to Play Monarchies.io?
You manage a colony rather than a single character. Bees are sent out across the flowers to forage, the honey they bring back funds expansion, and the comb itself is built out cell by cell to house more of them. Growth is the whole game, since a bigger colony gathers faster but also needs more feeding. Sandbox mode lets you build without pressure while you learn the systems, and Challenges set specific objectives to work against. Logging in lets you collect honey between sessions and unlock additional bee species to play as, starting from the common Apis Mellifera.
What Are the Controls?
Everything is driven with the mouse. The main menu is laid out as a row of hexagon buttons covering How To Play, Sandbox, Challenges and Settings, so you can read the rules before committing to a run. Inside the hive you click to direct your bees and to extend the comb, and the toolbar along the bottom of the screen holds your build and colony options.
